The Wigwam is a 331 room luxury resort located in Litchfield Park just 30 minutes from Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport. Since opening in 1929, The Wigwam has welcomed guests from around the world to a destination resort rich with the spirit of "Authentic Arizona." In 2009, new ownership led by former Phoenix Suns owner and National Director of USA Basketball, Jerry Colangelo, began major renovations updating and restoring The Wigwam while embracing its rich history as one of the country's leading golf resorts. Their exceptional stewardship continues to improve the quality of the Interclub Challenge experience year after year. Learn more about Wigwam Golf Resort
The Wigwam is more than a resort; it is a part of Arizona history. Situated in the West Valley, this iconic hotel has become synonymous with Litchfield Park and is in many ways the cornerstone of that very community.
Blending casual elegance with the charm of the Southwest, the Wigwam is a 440 acre getaway destination that promises unforgettable experiences, no matter the reason for visiting. Little wonder then that guests have come from around the Valley, throughout Arizona, all across the nation and the world.
Boasting of luxury casitas and suites, a variety of award-winning restaurants and a full array of recreational amenities, pools and a spa, perhaps what The Wigwam is best known for are its 54 holes of championship-caliber golf. Among them are two Robert Trent Jones, Sr. courses that include the famed Gold Course, and The Patriot (formerly Blue Course). Rounding out the golf experience is The Blue (formerly the Red Course), designed by renowned course architect Red Lawrence.
The Wigwam - an Arizona treasure since 1929.
In 1989, former Wigwam Vice President and General Manager Cecil Ravenswood, created the Interclub Challenge. His vision lives on every January with the playing of this incredible Pro-Am event. The tournament and the resort are a wonderful way to kick-off your New Year. The Interclub Challenge has a loyal following of teams from Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas, California, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Kansas. Please feel free to share tournament information with all of your golfing friends who enjoy the game, competition, and fun.
